April 28th, 2009 Youth is the root of human resource for building one community and country. In participating to improve the quality of education in Cambodia. On April 28th, 2009, PRASAC joined as a co-sponsor of an English debate on Youth and Education at Cambodian Mekong University. And, on such special occasion, it was also participated by Mr. Pok Thavin, Head of Ministry of Education, Youths and Sports, other private sectors and about 500 university students from other universities.
This debate was made under three different topics. The first topic is “Cambodian students who study at two univesities at the same time are absolutely right.” The second is “ Working during studying period is the right choice.”And the last one is “Your future is in your hand.” Joining in this events, PRASAC is subject to coordinate with social community in motivating Cambodian students to have more chance to gain more knowledge in praticing as well as showing their talents and language ability, flexibility in dealing with problems and sharing how much they understand the topics and what they have learnt and gained from their efforts, and especially they can show the public their potential, courageousness and value of Cambodian’s youth with their fluency. And the most important point is to show that they are always ready for this challenging world though the job market today is still small, it won’t be a big concern for them as long as they are growing with qualification and commitment. This debate did not only provide opportunity for youths to share their knowledges and experiences to each other but also gather social activity in rehabilitaing the value of education and motivating for more human resources, which is the basic term for social development in our country. As to follow the idea of globalisation and in motivating for more quality of education as well as for social development, PRASAC has always joined in various activities like siminars, workshops, conferents or forums and especially PRASAC has joined in most of the educational programmes prepared by Cambodian Mekong University. And this is also a high appreciation that PRASAC has spent on its own pocket for those programmes regardless any financial benefits in returns. And without hesitation, PRASAC is still willing to join in other more social activities by mean of being part of developing our country and Cambodian’s people living standard based on their education and skills. |
